Do I need a smartphone and internet access to ride a scooter?
Yes, a smartphone with internet access is required to ride a Skurtt electric scooter.
What are the requirements to ride?
  • Must be minimum 16 years old
  • Must wear a helmet
  • Ride in designated bike lanes or shared lanes
  • Strictly one scooter – one rider
  • Abide by local traffic regulations and traffic laws
  • Ride within the approved zones
  • Ride within the speed limit
  • Maintain safe distance between e-scooters, bikes and pedestrians
  • Avoid blocking the way of pedestrians and vehicles
  • Dismount from the e-scooter while crossing pedestrian-crossings

How do I download the app?
To download the Skurtt app, simply click here and you’ll automatically be redirected to the appropriate download page for your mobile device. You can also search “Skurtt” in both the IOS App and Google Play stores.
How do I find a Skurtt near me?
To find a Skurtt electric scooter near you, simply open the Skurtt app. You’ll automatically be taken to the map screen, showing all available Skurtt vehicles in your area. If you don’t see any vehicle icons displayed on the map, zoom out to search a wider area.
How far can I ride on a charge?
When you open the Skurtt App, you can see the range—or the distance you can travel based on the current battery level.
How do I unlock a Skurtt?
To unlock a Skurtt electric scooter, simply open the Skurtt app and tap on the “Scan to Ride” button at the bottom of the screen. From here, either scan the QR code using your phone’s camera or manually enter the 6-digit vehicle code located beneath the QR code.
How do I start riding?
After you unlock your scooter, kick off the ground 3 times to go. Press GO on the right handlebar for some speed.
How do I brake on a scooter?
To slow down, press the brake on the left handlebar, or to come to a full stop. A brake light will flash as well to alert vehicles around you that you are stopping.
Where can I ride a Skurtt?
Skurtt can be ridden in bike lanes and on bike paths. Please respect all traffic laws and do not ride your Skurtt on the sidewalk or streets. You can ride scooters in and out of the parking zone on the map, but you must park your scooter and end your ride within the designated areas or parking zones highlighted on the App. Otherwise, you will be charged a fee, if you happen to end your ride outside the business/parking zone.
Where can I park a Skurtt?
Skurtt can be parked anywhere it is safe and, in some areas, you need to park on designated parking areas highlighted on the app. Do not block sidewalks, service ramps, bus stops and shop entrances.
How do I park and end my ride?
First, please make sure you’re parking in a safe, appropriate location. Scooters only work if we all take responsibility and park in places that don’t block car traffic, impede pedestrian access or encroach on private property.
  • Park in the parking zone shown in the skurtt app
  • Don’t block sidewalk or doorways
  • Push the kickstand down
  • Tap End Ride in the app. You’ll stop being charged for your ride.
Can I hold a scooter?
Yes, you can, click on the lock buttom on the Skurtt app. Please note that the scooter will be locked till you unlock it again and no one will be able to unlock. You will be charged normal riding fee per min till you end the ride.
Can I reserve / rent multiple scooters at a time?
One of the awesome features that Skurtt app have is ‘Multi Booking’. This allows the account holder to activate one or more scooters for family and friends. You can Reserve and/or Ride upto a maximum of 5 Skurtt scooters at a time. The account holder take responsibility that all riders adhere to the below:
  • minimum 16 years old
  • must wear helmets
  • must follow local traffic rules
  • 'one scooter – one rider’ only
Please note that all reserved and/or active scooters must be paid for by account holder via an Active Plan, or else amount will be deducted from the Wallet or Credit Card
My scooter has broken down. What should I do?
If you encounter any issues with your Skurtt scooter that would affect your safety or ability to complete your trip, please stop riding immediately and report the problem to us. You can either email us on support@skurtt.me or send a message on the app. We will have the scooter collected and repaired at the earliest.
In the event of an accident, what should I do?
The first thing that you should do when involved in an accident is to get to a safe area, especially if you were riding close to the road at the time of the accident. By staying within the road, you increase your risk of being involved in a secondary accident. Try to move yourself and the scooter to a space that is off the road and away from passing traffic. You should immediately check if anyone else involved in the accident and assess for injuries.
  • In case of any injury caused to a pedestrian, please be courteous and immediately report the incident to the police (999) / the ambulance (998), and then report it to us by contacting Customer Care on +97143332236 (timings 8 AM – 10 PM) or via the Skurtt App / email (support@skurtt.me). We will guide you through the next steps.

Deleting your Skurtt account
To delete your Skurtt account, go to Settings in the Skurtt app menu and select Delete Account. If you don’t see this option, check that you’ve downloaded the latest version of the Skurtt app from your device's respective app store.

You won’t be eligible to delete your account if you have any legal holds on it or have a negative Skurtt Wallet balance. If your last ride was less than 30 days ago, your account will be deleted 30 days from your last ride.

Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone. If you decide to ride with us again in the future, you’ll need to create a new account. Once an account is deleted, you will need to wait thirty (30) days to create a new account.

If you’re having trouble deleting your account, submit a request to support@skurtt.me so our team can assist you. Make sure to include the email address and/or mobile number associated with your Skurtt account.

SAFETY AND PRIVACY

What are some general good practices while riding?
  • Do not ring your bell excessively when approaching pedestrians. If a pedestrian does not show signs of giving way, dismount and push to overtake. Saying ‘Excuse Me’ and ‘Thank You’ with a smile can go a long way.
  • Do not speed. Always be ready to stop when approaching pedestrians who might not be aware of their surroundings (e.g., children, the elderly, people glued to their phones or otherwise distracted). Slow down or dismount and push.
  • Always slow down and be ready to stop when approaching blind spots such as shop entrances or pavement junctions.
  • Dismount and push at zebra crossings, traffic lights and bus stops.
  • When riding in groups, maintain a safe distance from the other scooters around you.
  • Do not brake suddenly, because it could lead to an accident.
  • Do not argue with security personnel within the community you are riding in; and instead, be courteous and follow their instructions.
Are helmets required for riders?
While helmet laws vary from city to city, Skurtt recommends riders to wear a helmet at all times. Whenever possible, Skurtt also distributes one-time free custom-designed helmets per user if you subscribe to one of our free helmet Ride Plan. This serves as a way to keep our riders safe while riding. The Skurtt mobile app also educates users on the best practices when riding a e-scooter. If you have already subscribed to one of our free helmet Ride Plan, you can Contact through the Skurtt App and we will arrange for delivery.
What is a pre-ride safety check?
A pre-ride safety check involves a quick 3-step process to ensure your Skurtt vehicle is in good working order:
  • Pump the hand brakes manually to ensure they are taught
  • Check tires to verify they are undamaged
  • Visually inspect body of the vehicle for cracks or other structural damage
  • If the vehicle is not in working order, you can report it to skurtt immediately by tapping on the exclamation point icon (!) on the lower left corner of the map screen.
How is Skurtt keeping riders safe?
Safety is our top priority. Skurtt has developed a series of educational instructional pages in Skurtt App, Website, and in our Social Media platforms to ensure riders know and abide by applicable rules and regulations.
Why does Skurtt ask for GPS location?
The Skurtt app uses your GPS location to accurately show you Skurtt vehicles that are in your vicinity.
Why does Skurtt ask for camera access?
The Skurtt app uses your camera to enable vehicle unlocking via QR code. We also request that riders submit a photo of their vehicle after a ride to ensure that it is parked correctly or report any damaged scooter.
What is Skurtt doing to protect my data and privacy?
Skurtt takes our riders’ data and privacy very seriously. GPS data is always anonymized before sharing with cities. Additionally, we do not sell rider data to third-party recipients, and a subpoena or other lawful process is required to access rider data in compliance with legal obligations.
How do I safely park and end my ride?

  • Can I take a passenger with me?
    Skurtt strictly implements ‘one scooter – one rider’ rental policy. Our scooters are designed only for a single person use. You can use our ‘Multi Booking’ feature to activate anothe scooter.

    How much does Skurtt cost?
    Skurtt Electric Scooters charges an unlock fee + per minute fee to ride depending on the city or zone, you can view the fee of a scooter by clicking on the scooter icon on our app. You must park your scooter and end your ride within the ride/parking zone. Otherwise, you will be charged an additional fee, if you end your ride outside the business area. If your trip costs more than your available balance of you purchased plan or wallet, the remainder will be charged from the payment option on file.
    How do I pay for my ride?
    Simply enter your credit card information into the app and you will be charged per ride. You can also purchase plans that you can use for future rides for a discounted amount.
    What are Plans & Promotions?
    We have many Ride Plans that you can select from and enjoy. Our Ride Plans & Promotions differs based from our customers’ transportation needs. Simply check the Wallet option from the App menu. Then view Ride Plans. From here, you should be able to choose and purchase from our existing and awesome Plans, suited for your convenient transportation.
    What if I have any billing issues?

    What should I do if my smartphone dies or I can not end the ride?
    In the event your smartphone battery dies or you are not able to end your ride, make sure the scooter is in a parking zone and contact our Customer Care as soon as possible.

    How much does Skurtt cost to my city?
    Zero. Skurtt incorporates easily into cities’ existing transportation model and greatly reduces carbon footprints. We also cover all maintenance and rider education costs.
